What are the responsibilities of the Partner District ?
- Partner District claims and receives 100% of the state funding for each student and pays OpenEd a fixed monthly % which is based ONLY on active student enrollments
- Provide administrative oversight and appoint a registrar (typically, neither role is full-time for 2-3 years)
- Allocate surplus budget to other district priorities such as: teacher and staff raises; innovative on-site programs
OpenEd responsibilities?
- 100% responsible for finding students in the state in grades K-12 who learn best at home.
- Assist parents in enrolling their student(s) in the Partner Disctrict's Student Information System as a full-time, public school student.
- Help parents design a STEM-focused, personalized education program for each child leveraging thousands of different seculra curriculum provides, classes, courses, mentors, tutors, etc.
- Every student is assigned a state-certified teacher to monitor weekly progress and must complete all related state education requirements.
